January 8th Book Club Meeting - The Hunger Games

Hi Ladies! Thanks for coming on the 8th.  I think I'll host again next meeting and we'll decide where to go after that.  Next meeting is February 5th at my place at 7:00.  Thoughts about this book were that we were glad that Katniss wasn't chasing after a vampire or a werewolf, and that she was a strong woman.  She did mirror in a lot of ways how that Bella acts in the Twilight series.  The incompetent Mother, her naivete of her appealing quality to men... anyway, while it was nice to start with an easy read, I think the next book will give us more to work with.  See my next post for the link to the next book.
